Following Manchester United’s defeat to Arsenal (1-3), coach Erik ten Hag explained Jadon Sancho’s absence by referring to his performances in training.
In response, the English international released a statement disputing his coach’s comments, asserting that he had trained well and suggesting other reasons for his absence. He also expressed his desire to play football with a smile and continue to fight for the club.
« Please do not believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say completely false things. I have trained very well this week. I think there are other reasons why I have not been integrated into the team ».
« I have been a scapegoat for a long time, which is not fair. All I want to do is play football, with a smile, and help my team. I respect all decisions made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players. I know that every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this club in any case, » said the former Borussia Dortmund prodigy.
