Despite signing a contract extension last summer, 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé has declined to activate the option for an additional year. As a result, he will be a free agent in 2024, but PSG has been making every effort in the past two months to convince him to extend.
According to Ben Jacobs of CBS, Mbappé has turned down a contract extension offer from PSG that included a clause allowing him to be sold in 2024.
The situation is tense, as PSG chose not to call up Mbappé for the training camp in Japan and South Korea. While Real Madrid is often mentioned as a potential destination for the player, other options are also being considered. Chelsea, in particular, is reportedly pushing to recruit the player.
