Neymar wants to be back at Barcelona, but that won’t be happening anytime soon. He will be cashing in for two years in Saudi Arabia, and then he’ll attempt a comeback to Europe. According to L’Equipe, Barcelona did try for a loan deal with an option to buy, but it didn’t work out.
On his part, Neymar hasn’t given up on the potential return to Barcelona. At the end of his contract with Al-Hilal, which he committed to until 2025, the playmaker doesn’t plan on triggering the optional year. His objective remains to come back to Barcelona, with the 2026 World Cup in sight. Until then, the Brazilian international aims to secure his position within the national team.
