During an interview on RTL, Julien Stéphan discussed the topic of Ousmane Dembélé, the 26-year-old forward.
As the former coach of Stade Rennais where Ousmane Dembélé played, Julien Stéphan stated that the player has a genuine attraction to Paris Saint-Germain and that his choices are not made randomly. Julien Stéphan emphasized the importance of having a player of Dembélé’s quality in Ligue 1, highlighting the advantages that such a presence would bring.
« It’s a joy for Ligue 1 to see him come back. We must realize the opportunity we have to have Ousmane Dembélé, who is French. He’s a rare player, with characteristics that very few players possess. It’s a good choice for PSG. »
« PSG means something to Ousmane. He always makes career choices in clubs that mean something to him. That’s important. When he was still playing in Rennes, he often talked about PSG. We don’t make him do things he doesn’t want to do. »
