Riccardo Calafiori had been targeted by PSG for years. Former sporting director Leonardo wanted him, and Paris made their move. However, the Italian will finally join Arsenal this summer. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal amounts to €53 million. The Italian international will earn an annual salary of €4 million in London.
However, Bologna, his club, will not receive the entire €53 million. Indeed, FC Basel, which sold the player last summer, had negotiated a clause stipulating that they would receive 50% of any future transfer.
The 22-year-old player appeared in 30 matches and scored 2 goals in Serie A for the 2023-2024 season.
