According to L’Equipe’s information, it seems that Kylian Mbappé might have requested Neymar’s departure almost a year ago. He is believed to have expressed the opinion that there isn’t enough room for both players in the Parisian team’s lineup. Mbappé is also reported to have demanded the departure of Marco Verratti. During the previous season, the Parisian player created a buzz with his « eat well, sleep well » remark. A jab that had no specific recipient… or perhaps it did. Verratti? Neymar?
Ultimately, it’s only this August that the French forward’s alleged request has been taken into account, especially considering the signals hinting at Neymar’s potential move to Al-Hilal.
