Will PSG continue its transformation this winter? According to *L’Équipe*, adjustments are expected. Coach Luis Enrique, in particular, wants to use Désiré Doué in a different role.
“Currently, while he would like to have a winger capable of competing with Bradley Barcola, Luis Enrique is ‘forced’ to place Désiré Doué in that position. PSG may prioritize a left-footed winger to be used on the left side. This is one of the options on the table,” states L’Équipe.
Defense Still Under Construction
In other areas, PSG “won’t hesitate to seize opportunities. One position in particular is being targeted: a right-footed center-back. Marquinhos won’t stay at PSG forever, and Saudi Arabia is still pushing to secure his signature next season,” explains L’Équipe.
Finally, PSG is concerned about the left side of defense. With Nuno Mendes injury-prone and Lucas Beraldo limited, the need for a left-back to “back up” Nuno Mendes is also evident. Lucas Hernandez could be the solution, but PSG could also look to recruit.
