RMC Sport Confirms: Matvey Safonov is Set to Sign with PSG, Currently Undergoing Medical Examination
PSG has found its new backup goalkeeper. According to RMC Sport, Matvey Safonov is in Paris this Tuesday, awaiting his medical examination with the club.
« The goalkeeper, who has been offered a five-year contract, received permission from FK Krasnodar to travel. There is a complete agreement between the two clubs. If the medical goes well, the transfer will be officially completed at the start of the transfer window on July 1st, » reports RMC Sport.
PSG is expected to pay around 20 million euros (including bonuses) for the Russian shot-stopper. Safonov will join PSG as the backup to Gianluigi Donnarumma, under the management of coach Luis Enrique.
