According to Le Parisien, it’s confirmed: Xavi Simons is returning to PSG. The club has clearly expressed its desire to bring the player back, despite interest from FC Barcelona. German sources also indicate that Bayern Munich is interested in recruiting the young talent, but PSG remains firm on its decision.
According to Florian Plettenberg, a journalist for Sky Sport in Germany, Max Eberl, the director of Bayern Munich and former RB Leipzig official who secured Simons’ loan, hopes to attract the Dutch international to Bavaria. However, Fabrizio Romano clarifies that Xavi Simons’ situation remains unchanged: it is the player who must decide his future.
Paris Saint-Germain absolutely does not want to sell him this summer. The decision hinges on either a return to PSG or, very likely, a new loan until 2025. Xavi Simons is expected to make his decision before the Euro.
